Turn the F-250's engine off and remove the truck's keys from its ignition.2
Remove the four screws from the shift lever boot with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the boot.3
Remove the nut and bolt from the shift lever with a socket wrench. Pull off the shift lever.4
Attach the new shift lever using the nut and bolt.5
Reattach the boot and its four retainer screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
